Job Description
Borno Women Development Initiative (BOWDI) is a women-led, registered Nongovernmental, Non-profit Organization with its head office in Borno State, Nigeria. BOWDI has been active in Humanitarian and development activities in the Northeast, especially in education, peace-building, advocacy, food security, livelihood, and protection.
About the role:
Under the support of project officers, the project volunteers will:
- Volunteers will support Project activities which include: supporting sensitization, community mobilization, etc.
- The Volunteer will support in ensuring smooth runnning of projects.
Eligibility:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s deegree in any social science course, humanities, or similar.
- must have a passing knowledge of NGO activiteis especially protection-related
- Must be a team player
- Very good writing skills. Proficiency in English and Hausa language.
- Ability to relate to affected individuals and populations in a humble manner, listen and act on issues maintaining discretion.
- Ability to communicate effectively, present oneself professionally with internal & external stakeholders, write well and express technical issues in a sensitive manner
